At the start of this year, I promised myself that I would do everything to make 2024 the best year for my photography so far. Now, at the end of the year, it’s time to wrap things up and evaluate. Did I succeed? Nah, I don’t know if I captured my best images ever, but I am very happy with many of them. By the end of the day (or year) that is the only thing that matters. Moreover, I have picked up a few things on the way that definitely will help me improve in the future. And I have scouted out several new locations with great potential. I’ll come back to that in later posts.
One thing that strikes me, looking back, is that I have been very fortunate with weather and conditions on many of my travels and outings in 2024. I have definitely had more days with fog than ever before! Maybe it’s because I have become better at predicting it, or maybe it’s just pure luck. I guess we will see by the end of next year.

There has been a few highlights this year. A spring trip to wonderful Tuscany, warm and sunny days at the dramatic coastline of Algarve, a week with great conditions in Northern Norway and almost a full week with fog in Rondane and Romsdalen. A roadtrip to Western Norway also gave me a few good images, but more important, better knowledge of this fabulous area. I will surely revisit in 2025.

I am not really one for New Years resolutions. But I head into next year with one. I will make 2025 the best year for my photography ever 🙂
